Abstract

This authored chapter was developed from a conference paper given at an international conference in October 2007, in Hasselt. The chapter surveys the emergence of dispersed, durational and interventionist artistic strategies and their relation to progressive notions of place and locality as a mode of interrogating the suitability of conventional curatorial models such as the international scattered-site exhibition.
