AbstractThis article describes three recent developments from our laboratory, in which, screen-printed carbon electrodes have been modified in order to develop sensors/biosensors for analytes of biomedical importance. The analytical applications described are (i) progesterone, (ii),glucose and (iii) haemoglobin. determination. For each application, the modification procedure for the base transducer and the sensor/biosensor performance characteristics are described. The potential biomedical application areas for these devices are discussed.
