Additional Information:This article presents findings of a quasi-experimental, mixed-method study that analysed the effectiveness and implementation of an innovative performing arts programme. Findings from the study have informed commissioning of performing arts programmes in the UK and Australia. For this article on teacher views, Jones conducted the data analysis, led on the literature review and produced the first and final drafts of the article. Contribution 70%.
