Abstract

A Quarter Century of Change in Rural Britain and Europe offers a series of reflective essays from 13 academics with an expert knowledge of rural development. It covers the full range of rural issues from population, governance, welfare, communities, economies, housing and planning through to the environment, land tenure, forestry and agriculture. Sustainable rural development and the changing scene amongst rural communities in Europe also are given consideration.
