Abstract

Commissioned by the Cardiff New Brass Festival and first performed by the Symphonic Brass of the RAF, June 2011, at Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral. Inspired by Berkeley Castle in Gloucester, the work incorporates excerpts from Vivaldi arias found in the castle muniments.
