Abstract

This interdisciplinary conference explores the contemporary processes of subject formation through encounters with non-human 'otherness'. Though the focus of the conference will be on animals, the becoming-animal, the emphasis will be placed on art practices and on vital politics. The leading question is: what kind of interfaces, encounters, and practices might emerge from the human-animal assemblage?
