Abstract

This paper arose from a UNESCO-supported participatory action research project (Growing Up in Cities) which involved children and young people in evaluating and improving their local environments. This project won an EDRA/Places award in 2002 (out of 115 contenders). The paper is significant in responding to the dearth of literature on bullying in neighbourhoods. Contribution 95%.
