Abstract

Investigates breast feeding rates in the ALSPAC cohort, utilising the 1996 and 2003 WHO definitions. The paper identifies difficulties with the WHO definitions and reveals the challenges in researching the pattern and effects of variations in infant feeding in birth cohorts.
