Abstract

This work was described as novel by reviewers and it is expected to make a significant contribution to the software cost estimation process applied at the early stages of software development with the aim to make the software cost estimation task accurate and economically worthy. This work is part of current Ph.D. research, that will form the basis for a forthcoming bid for the development of use-case based software cost estimation models, given that the main outcomes of this research are that 43% of system functions are generally application domain independent, and 57% are application domain dependent.
