Abstract

Theorises empirical data from Aitchison's research of knowledge production in leisure and tourism studies. Developing Aitchison's thesis of 'the social-cultural nexus' of gender-power relations it reveals the inter-relationship of material and symbolic power in publication processes, contributes to reconstitution/reworking of editorial boards (Leisure Studies, JoHLSTE, Annals Leisure Research).
