|Additional Information:||This chapter is in a book co-authored by Arthurs, with Martin Barker and Ramaswami Harindranath, both now external to UWE although they were in post during the research. The book was the outcome of a joint research project, Crash and its audiences, funded by the ESRC (project R000222194), though it was subject to editorial comment by the lead researcher Martin Barker. Arthurs' contribution to the research included joint design of the research proposal, focus group interviewing, preliminary content analysis of the data generated by NUDIST, collaborative design of the book, and a share of the writing.|
