Abstract
Paper (given as part of a panel in conjunction with Elspeth Kydd and Govinda Dickman) providing a critical analysis of Alfonso Cuaran’s film, The Children of Men - based on a novel by PD James. The paper critiqued the ways in which this production, (based on a dystopian vision of a future militarised world where women, stripped of their procreative function, seem to have little value), albeit “right on” met, or failed to meet its own agenda.
